CDLS Partners and Directors Lunch 2026

The President of Cardiff and District Law Society is delighted to announce the return of our annual Partners & Directors Lunch. This year’s lunch will be hosted in The Ivy Cardiff, on Wednesday 25 November 2026.

Cardiff & District Law Society (CDLS) launched this special Lunch in 2014, attracting a managing partners and equity directors from across the breadth of legal services in the region to join us for a rare opportunity to catch up with peers at the highest level.

For those able to join us, we will head to our Annual General Meeting 2026 and election of Council members and our next president after the lunch. The AGM is free to attend and includes informal networking over drinks.

What to expect

A arrival drink, a three-course lunch with a glass or two of wine and the perfect opportunity to catch up with peers in senior positions in the legal profession in the region.

You will be joined by our President, Emma Waddingham (Legal News Wales), and our Vice President, Julia Reynolds (Leigh Day) in a relaxed setting with great food in a stunning setting in the centre of Cardiff.

• 12:00: Arrival & glass of Ivy Cuvee
• 12:15: Welcome from the President of Cardiff & District Law Society, Emma Waddingham
• 12:30: Fireside Chat – with Stephen Ainsworth, Barclays Industry Director for the legal sector.
• 13:15: A three-course lunch is served, followed by  informal conversation
• Join us for a drink at the bar after the lunch, before the AGM starts
• 17:15: AGM – Central Cardiff venue TBA

Managing Partners / Directors / Partners in any legal practice within the Cardiff & District region, whether you’re in a top 50 law, high street or boutique law firm, Alternative Business Structure or Barristers’ Chambers. We also welcome senior directors of in-house legal teams to the event.

Non members are welcome to join us. Non member tickets are £75 per person.
